Marcus High School Basketball Stake Champions - Austin

Savanna's High School Basketball team won the State Championship Title in Austin, TX March 11th and 12th, 2011.  We went to cheer them on and witness this great event in her high school career.  It was 2 great games and we had a great time in Austin afterward.  This kicked off our spring break.

 The Girls decorated the car with paint in support of our team.  We had team spirit.

 The game was played at the Texas Longhorn stadium at University of Texas in Austin.  Marcus fans filled the stadium.  Savanna and her friend Kayla were showing their team spirit with M's on their cheeks.

 After the game... We won.

 We visited the Texas State Capitol Building in downtown Austin.  What a beautiful building.

 Sat morning we went canoeing in the lake in dowtown Austin.

 Waiting for dusk when the bats fly out from under the bridge.  It was a neat sight to see thousand of little bats fly out after sleeping all day to hunt at night.

 We toured the inside of the State Capitol building.  Some of the rooms were closed due to a protest that had happened earlier that morning.

 Pictures from the Championship game.  It was an amazing game.  One that we are so happy we were able to experience.  We believed that we would win and we did.

 Savanna got to sneak down to the floor and see the celebration and made it on TV as they were interviewing one of our star players.

 Enjoying the pool and amenities at our hotel.  We just happened to stay at the Embassy Suites that our basketball team stayed in.  We didn't know this when we booked it.  We were able to witness the celebration in the hotel parking lot.

Morman Prom 4/8/11

 Savanna looked so beautiful in her prom dress.  She was indeed a princess.

 Savanna went shopping for dresses and fell in love with this one.  It was so Savanna with the animal print under fabric, hot pink and orange with lots of toulle.

 This was Savanna's first date with her friend Declan.  He is in another ward in our stake.  They made a handsome couple.

Victoria's Christmas Choir concert - Dec 13th

For Christmas Victoria wanted to get a perm for her hair to have curls like Taylor Swift.  She loves her new look.  She gets complements on her red hair and now it is curly she gets even more.  She does have beautiful locks.

The Treble choir sang three songs.  They sounded great and they have a great choir program.  The whole concert was 2 hrs way too long.  Especially for Ty.  He was done after about a 1/2 hour.  

Savanna's Choir Madgical Dinner Dec 10th - 11th

This is Savanna's 2nd year to participate in a fabulous event that the choir director puts on.  They (the parent volunteers) transform the cafeteria into a Medival castle and perform a dinner theatre with the choir singing multiple numbers.  They serve dinner and dessert along with the play and music.  It is a pretty great event.  All the kids rent or make medival costumes.  This year I was on the choir board volunteer chair so I was in charge of flowers and desserts and getting volunteers to help make the event a success.
